Jamey & Jeremy: Maternity

Their little girl is going to be blessed with some great genes – Jamey and Jeremy are both tall, cute and super fit! Can you believe Jamey had only a few weeks to go when these were shot? She looked so content, I had to have her do a little “zen” pose!

Rangefinder again!

The “Focus” section of the September issue of Rangefinder Magazine contains a press release about my Rangefinder/Nikon cover contest image! There’s a before and after, which shows the result of the post-processing I did on the image using the design house suite, which was created by my friend Andy Armstrong. Check it out below – it’s so weird to see my name between two other press releases introducing products from Adobe and Epson!

Davis

This cutie patootie is such a doll – check out his sparkly eyes! Dad is a big Tar Heels fan, so when he left for work, Mom shared a great idea of incorporating some Carolina Blue as a surprise for him. My favorite is the tiny onesie on the right, it says “I’m behind the Tar Heels” on the booty!

My album manufacturer has the most unique cover options, and it’s always interesting to me to see what my couples will pick as far as colors and patterns go! I thought Margaret & Darren’s choice of color combinations was stunning – classic black leather as the base, accented with a ostrich-textured leather in a coppery tone. Traditional with a contemporary twist!

Marie & Tommy’s Engagement

Once upon a time, these two worked at the Brew Pub. They met, and well, you can guess the rest! When we were talking about their session, we figured what could be a better location than the place where it all began – especially since I love shooting in old buildings (the grungier the better!).

Hudson

The only way I can describe Hudson is “squishable”! He has to be one of the most mellow babies I have shot, with a cute little smile to boot. Don’t you just want to pinch his cheeks???

Remembering 9/11

The folks at Ask.com have made this image available due to popular demand after putting it on their 9/11 home page tribute – if you’d like to download it for yourself, click HERE.

Gwen & Danny’s Engagement

If you’ve read some of my previous posts about engagement sessions, then you know I ask my soon-to-be brides and grooms about places they like to go and things they like to do together so I can incorporate them into their session to make it more personal and fun. Two of the things Gwen and Danny mentioned were watching the sunset, and Friday night Mexican and margaritas – I thought they might think I was a little nuts to suggest shooting part of their session in a Mexican restaurant, but they were all for it. I have the best clients ever!

Gage is back!

And the puppy dog eyes are sweeter than ever! Lots of babies are curious about the camera – what would you think if you were a baby and a lady kept putting a huge black contraption in front of her face and it clicked at you? It was so funny because he would be all smiley until I put the camera in front of my face – then he would make the most serious face you’ve ever seen – but I think we got around that just fine!
